Misfits of Ugly Hollywood (MoUH) call out to the outcasts, rebels, and weirdos everywhere. Through art and advocacy, sisters and bandmates, Kate and Abbie Turner express the feelings and experiences of struggling youth in a postmodern world. As twin city natives, Chicago Indie Rock’s influence is evident in the Turners vocal style. They are amplified by soaring leads from guitarist Louis Rubino and gooey grooves from bassist Joe Martin, resulting in high energy performances that are sure to get any crowd moving. MoUH and their community share a strong passion for social and environmental justice, the great outdoors, and self expression, Their newly formed collective, Ugly Hollywood, seeks to unite and empower empathetic and driven creators through an art docused mutual aid network.
